Kids will whoop with delight as they climb and slide at the many different areas and partake of rides. Water sprays and cascades everywhere! Parents will appreciate the trained lifeguards and the readily available inner tubes for floating the Lazy River — or watery adventures of their own!
On day visits, bring your own towel, as Big Splash Adventure makes free towels available only to hotel guests. Day visitors, however, can buy towels at the water park.
Big watery adventures inevitably build big appetites in the small fry. Grab some kid-friendly fare for the young and something more sophisticated for yourself at the Boatyard, located on the first floor and open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. In particular, Lee Wally Peg Legs — slow-cooked then grilled pork shanks slathered with a barbecue sauce made on premises — will make your mouth water. Or maybe you'd prefer the pizzas and sandwiches of the Galley, located on the second floor of the Treasure Chest Arcade and open 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. And adults can nip into Lee Wally's to have a cocktail and some eats.
From May to August, Big Splash Adventure operates daily 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Otherwise, the park is closed Tuesday and Wednesday; runs 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. Remember: as Big Splash Adventure is a family-friendly water park, revealing or transparent bathing suits aren't allowed. Free U.S. Coast Guard-approved life vests are available free upon request.
Looking for an off-beat conference location? The park has event space ranging from traditional conference rooms to a mezzanine overlooking Big Splash Adventure. Catering is available, of course.
