Huber's Farm: Family Fun All Year Long
As the leaves start to change and Halloween draws near, many families head up to Huber's Farm to pick pumpkins from their pumpkin patch, but Huber's Farm provides family fun in all seasons, not just fall.
Huber's Farm is a Southern Indiana attraction in that features a farm, orchard, winery, restaurant, gift shop, and petting zoo, just to name a few. It is a popular family attraction among residents of both Louisville and Southern Indiana.
For the adults, Joe Huber's Restaurant serves home-cooked Southern food as good as grandma's. Also, Huber's Orchard, Winery, and Vineyards hosts complimentary tours of the wine operation and production facilities that culminate in a tasting of six of Huber's custom wines.
The petting zoo at Huber's Farm Park is a big hit among kids. Featuring dozens of animals—cows, deer, turkeys, chickens, roosters, peacocks, and goats, among others—kids love feeding the animals dried corn out of their hands and petting the animals that don't peck.
Surrounding the Farm Park are tons of other things that kids love to explore at Huber's Farm. The bamboo, corn, and rope mazes are surprisingly difficult and will provide your family with hours of entertainment. The mountain slides are fun and fast (and large enough for parents to enjoy, too). For an additional charge, kids can also ride miniature motorized tractors.
HelloJeffersonville Tip: Though Huber's Farm is open all year, its most popular season is fall. Families can take a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch where everyone can search the grounds for the perfect pumpkin. For adults, jumbo pumpkins aren't hard to find. However, kid-friendly sizes are available too.
